Projects: I have spent most of my working life designing, delivering and launching projects with a small number of team-members, taking ideas and converting them into reality. I am always interested in being involved in new projects, especially those where the outcome is something which looks to resolve a current problem, which challenges the status quo and the long-term goal of which is to establish something which is good for the planet.


Mentoring: I’m not a Business Consultant as such; more a business mentor. I’ve been around the SME/charity sector for most of my working life and seen that there often isn’t much in the way of assistance that is affordable. I’m here to assist. Areas where I can help might include:

  • Wording: drafting, editing, re-focussing business plans, strategy docs, financial summaries
  • Planning: Company Secretary skills, policies, organisation, establishing systems 
  • Analysis: cutting to the chase, identifying aims, summarising reports & research 
  • Legals: understanding legalese, dealing with professionals, clarifying rights and obligations, including intellectual property
  • Strategy: identifying direction of travel, routes, timings, people to achieve what’s required
  • Risks & Opportunities: identifying risks and opportunities; dealing with business threats; assessing competitors and markets
  • Funding: identifying & engaging potential sources; creating attractive funding proposals; presenting funding plans

Grant-making: I have specific experience in the private and public grant-making sector including the simplification of processes, strategies for encouraging more applications and active involvement, emphasising desired and actual outcomes, interpreting data-sets, assessing impact and advocating an organisation’s capabilities.
